TEEM-Lab, the Nidec/Leroy-Somer innovation hub, is open to local and regional stakeholders
02 Tháng Hai 2026

Thanks to decisive support from the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region, Nidec / Leroy-Somer has successfully completed a major strategic transformation of its Charente infrastructure.

This regional backing was instrumental in bringing the TEEM-Lab (Thermal, Environmental, Electrical & Mechanical Laboratory) to life at the Angoulême Sillac site, creating a new dynamic for local innovation.

This investment allowed Nidec / Leroy-Somer to centralize its R&D teams and upgrade its facilities with advanced testing platforms, a prototyping workshop, and a training center. Crucially, the funding enabled the lab to open its doors to the wider regional ecosystem. Universities, institutions, and local companies can now access these state-of-the-art resources to accelerate their own projects in robotics, electric mobility, and green energy.

The TEEM-Lab specializes in rotating machines, electromagnetism, and thermal dynamics, offering partners capabilities in climate testing, material characterization, and additive manufacturing. By bridging the gap between industry and academia, this initiative—powered by regional commitment—is already driving competitiveness and supporting the energy transition. Partners such as the Universities of Poitiers and La Rochelle and the Smart4D cluster are already benefiting from these shared facilities.

Nidec / Leroy-Somer explicitly thanks the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region for making this visionary project a reality, reinforcing the synergy between industrial leadership and regional development.
